When we reached Agra, we put up at a hotel for the night. It was a moonlit () night. We enjoyed the beauty of the Taj Mahal in the moonlight. I had read about the Taj Mahal in books but I had never seen it. I was enchanted (e) by its beauty. It was shining in the moon-light. It seemed that it was made of silver. Our joy knew no bounds. We felt that we were lost in a world of beauty. We gazed (a) at the Taj Mahal for a long time. At midnight we returned to our hotel. Next day we went to Fatehpur Sikri. Our visit to this deserted city filled us with sorrow. Though the buildings of this city are magnificent (), they are empty. We were told that Akbar built this city four hundred years ago.
