1. A man has some daily work to do. In his spare time he sometimes takes interest in other activities . This is a hobby . It is a favourite pursuit . A man gets pleasure from his hobby. There is no motive of gain in it. It provides pure joy. There are many kinds of hobbies. Gardening, photography. fishing, painting (fa), shooting are some favourite hobbies. Collecting postage stamps is a popular hobby. A friend of mine had the hobby of collecting old coins (fi). Hobbies are many. It is difficult (f) to name them all.
2. A man at times feels dull . A hobby brings diversion to him. A man gets tired (sia) with his daily work. A hobby is a relaxation (fa) to him. It keeps a man fresh (a) and energetic (स्फूर्तिवान). It saves him from being idle ando motonous (Fire).
